Place Kensington Assisted Living is a more intense level of service we give to those needing special care at all hours. All Place Kensington activities and areas are open to these residents, but in order to give them the best care, a separate floor with suites, dining room and lounges is provided with separate medical staff, attendants and monitored reception desk.  Also, appropriate activities such as fitness, games, entertainments, etc., are given on this floor.
 

In the case where short term convalescence is required, perhaps after a stay in hospital, Place Kensington offers fully furnished suites in the Assisted Living section, rentable on a daily basis.

Assisted Living residents have a professional nursing staff available every hour, every day.  This should reassure residents and their families. Residents are visited regularly by a physician, depending on individual needs.    Should residents need to visit their physician, they are escorted by a staff member.
A dietician and pharmacist are available as needed on a weekly basis.
Medication is monitored and dispensed by our nursing staff. We strive to have a close rapport between our medical staff and residents to assure residents and their families that every effort is made to maintain the residents' comfort and safety at the highest level.
 

Residents needing a further degree of care and assistance are assigned a professional attendant who helps with personal hygiene, nourishment and getting about.  The attendant also provides friendly companionship and emotional support to maintain the healthy spirit of the resident.
